West Ridge Golf Course is located just 15 minutes from the Salt Lake International Airport and 25 minutes from downtown Salt Lake City, it's in the foothills of the Oquirrh Mountains, with the Wasatch Mountains and the Great Salt Lake within view. The views on the course are great as is the golf, with the links style layout providing a series of challenges to golfers of all levels. The rolling hills and dramatic changes in elevation create a number of thrilling shots. The hazards add beauty and challenge to an already scenic course.
Water comes into play on six of the eighteen holes and sand traps are sprinkled throughout. At 6,673 yards from the tips, West Ridge isn't especially long, the challenge coming from the links style layout.

West Ridge has a nic-name, it is known as Wind-Rridge by the locals.
Some fairways are hard, sand traps have little to no sand in them, and the rough is rough.
No drink cart, have only seen a course marshall once in a while. Pace of play can be really slow. Pro shop staff have NOT been the nicest people.

Can be a challenging course for both pro and amature. Well kept and accomadating. Best prict in the valley. And by the way, the course is in West Valley City, not Salt Lake City.
